Rockbridge Regional Library is bringing the community together for an evening of fun, friendly competition with a music themed trivia night at Heliotrope Brewery on Monday, August 31 at 7:00 PM! Teams and individual players are welcome, and all experience levels are encouraged to join. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the restaurant.
This event kicks off Library Card Sign-Up Month, held each September since 1987 to mark the beginning of the school year, combat illiteracy, and encourage communities everywhere to explore all the offerings that having a library card unlocks.
New library patrons can also sign up for a library card at this event! Library staff will be on hand to help patrons and accept new card applications.
Rockbridge Regional Library System is seekinga Service Desk Assistant for the Lexington branch. Approximately 4-8 hours per week. Schedule includes Monday and Wednesday 5p-7p and every other Saturday 10a-2p. Computer skills and customer service experience required. Primary job responsibilities include collection maintenance and shelving library materials. This position will also assist at the Service Desk as needed.

Tutors are needed for the Youth Literacy Program coordinated by the Rockbridge Regional Library 📚
The Youth Literacy Program provides volunteer tutors for students in the Lexington and Rockbridge County elementary schools who are struggling with reading. Tutors meet one-on-one with a student, once a week during the school year. Last year, 60 tutors provided 1000 tutoring sessions. Join their ranks!
